1868 Birth of General Mariano Trias, Revolutionary leader and Vice-President of the Revolutinary Government, in San Francisco de Malabon, now General Trias, Cavite. Died on February 22, 1914. 1894 The Boletin de Museo Biblioteca de Filipinas is founded by Pedro A. Paterno with the permission of the civil authorities. 1935 The Legislature meets in joint session and publicly counts the votes cast for the President and Vice-President of the Philippines, certifying the results to the Governor-General. 1947 Corregidor, which was occupied by the Japanese on May 6, 1942 and retaken by the Americans on March 2, 1945, is turned over to the Republic of the Philippines.
